Bio Songs is a program of songs about science & nature designed to heighten the awareness of and enthusiasm for learning about the environment. Songs were chosen for their simple catchy melodies & scientific concepts. Students are encouraged to join in with the singing, clapping, movement, sign language and in one song, yelling. When songwriting workshops are included and time allows, students showcase their lyric-writing talents by singing with Peggy in an assembly program.Songs/Topics Molly Molecule ~ Hydrologic cycle Dirt Made My Lunch ~ Soils & Plants Habitat ~ Places animals live Planetary Perturbation ~ Solar system Weather or Not ~ Three kinds of clouds Animalia ~ Animal families’ traits Head to Toe Healthy ~ Health, nutrition & safety Plant Presents ~ Things we use & benefits we gain from plants Who’s Eating Who ~ Food chains Do You Care About Air? ~ Our atmosphere and it’s pollution | I combine my A.I.E. experience, knowledge of Adirondack women’s history & songwriting skills to present Balancing the Scales.
